Augmented Reality Campaigns

Augmented Reality can be incorporated into most of our competition mechanics. AR technology is now available in the native functions to both the iOS and Android smart phone software. It is now possible to drive simple 3D AR animations within a website if the website is being viewed on either an iOS or Android smartphone.

Campaign Options

Compco can integrate Augmented Reality into the following campaign styles:

  • Free AR experience: Customers visit the website and launch the AR experience from their phones. There is the option to add a social media campaign component to this e.g. Hashtag and photo plus tag client’s handle etc.

  • Sign up to play: Customers join the database and are provided with the opportunity to view the AR experience.

  • Sign up to win: Customers join the database and are provided with the opportunity to view the AR experience and enter a prize draw.

  • Collect the set: Collect the AR characters and receive a free gift and/ or enter the prize draw.

How It Works

The points below outline how the AR experience can work within a “sign up to play” promotion.

  1. Visit: Customers visit the competition URL or scan the QR code to take them directly to the website.

  2. Complete details: Customers provide their contact details.

  3. Enter: An animation will roll and customers will be provided with an entry into the draw.

  4. AR: Customers can launch the interactive AR character live in their own environment (shopping centre, home etc.).
